At the annual meeting, the membership indicated a desire for access to completed materials that would make it easier for us to promote books and products in our store, emails, blogs, facebook pages and websites. Since that time, the Board has made an arrangement with Christopher Fenoglio CEO, Editor-in-Chief of New Catholic Books & Media (www.NewCatholicBooks.com) to develop a package to help address that issue.

Two new CRA benefits from this effort are:

  1. New Content for Members
    • All current members will now receive a Monthly e-newsletter with new releases and links to the New Catholic Books website for the images and detailed reviews.
    • Each new release will feature a short abstract to help summarize the audience and content and be grouped in related groups.
    • Any of the links included in the email would lead to materials that CRA member can use or repurpose in an email, newsletter, website, facebook page, shelf talker, counter card or bag stuffer.
    • The only limitation will be that Catholic News Services material on the New Catholic Books site is not included (we would need our own licensing for that.)
  2. Discount on New Catholic Books & Media quarterly paper for instore distribution CRA members will get a 10% discount on the bulk papers, (annual cost of $90 for 100 papers per quarter)

Retail Mastery CourseRegistered member of the Catholic Retailers Association can now benefit from training woth $2,500 absolutely FREE. The Retail Mastery course is now available in the leneding library of the asociation. Registered CRA member stores with paid dues can now sign up to borrow one of 11 modules targeted at critical elements of retail store success.

Training Sessions Encourage 15% Growth Even in Difficult Economic Times PDF Print E-mail

Participants in training offered at the 2009 RBTE generally agreed that the sessions provided concrete strategies that could help them to grow sales by 15% even during difficult economic times. Bob Negen of WizBang Training provided concrete strategies to grow a store's customer base and increase sales with existing customers. Catholic Retailers in attendance overwhelmingly indicated that the content of this practical training will be valuable as they work through these challenging times.

As a special benefit for Catholic Retailers Association members, the full Retail Mastery course offered by WizBang Training has been purchased by the Association and will soon be available as part of a resource Lending Library. Watch the website for details.
